About the founder

Pastor Ronald Nkuranga

In the early 1960’s, both Ronald Nkuranga’s father and grandparents fled Rwanda to Uganda as refugees. As it was the tradition of his family to go to church every Sunday, Ronald for the first time through the invitation of his mother had a new birth experience in a local church of his neighborhood in 1991. As a young person, he continued to attend church regularly and just a few weeks later, he joined the church choir.

After the 1994 Genocide that claimed over one millions lives in just 100 days in Rwanda, Ronald and his parents returned to Rwanda in July 1994 where he continued his secondary and college education. Over the years, he continued to serve Christ in different capacities at various schools and local churches.

In 2009, Ronald received an opportunity to attend Northern Kentucky University(NKU), in the USA. With the help of individuals, the church, and the school, he was able to graduate. While at University, his burden for winning souls to Christ, church planting, helping Rwandan children to go to school, and fighting poverty and diseases stayed in his heart.

Birth of the church

Between 2010 and  2012, a series of strong prophetic messages from many of God’s ministers became the genesis of  Ronald’s quest for God’s plan and purpose for his life through prayer and fasting.. Towards the end of 2012, a vision to plant a church in Rwanda was born through the Holy Spirit in Ronald’s heart, and both Micah 4:1 and Acts 26-16-18 were given to him respectively.

“ It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and people shall flow to it,”

“ But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your own people and from the Gentiles– to whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from DARKNESS to LIGHT and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by FAITH in me.”

After staying temporarily in the USA, Ronald and his wife Rebecca and their eight months old son, Alvin, were compelled and led by the Lord to return to Rwanda to start the ministry. Pastors Ronald and Rebecca are now raising their three wonderful children: Alvin, Micah, and Kirsten in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital.
